InMyEar
A private voice assistant for reviewing messages, organizing commitments, and preparing carefully confirmed actions.
InMyEar is operated by Steve Springer for his own personal and business workflows. Access to the assistant is restricted. This public site explains the application and its use of connected account data.
Connected accounts
Each mailbox is connected separately through its provider’s consent page. InMyEar uses the account identity to check that it is accessing the intended mailbox. It retrieves bounded inbox and sent-mail samples for owner-requested review and, when enabled, recent-mail monitoring.
The InMyEar Legacy Gmail connection requests identity and Gmail read-only permissions. It does not request Gmail send permission, and the application refuses sends from that legacy account. Other separately authorized accounts can support sending only after an exact preview and fresh spoken confirmation.
Voice, context, and calendar
Requested voice interactions and AI assistance can process selected messages and other supplied context through OpenAI. Background mail monitoring does not call an AI model. Reviewed observations can be retained to help the owner recall information.
Calendar integration is a separate connection for an explicitly selected calendar. Event creation requires configuration checks and spoken confirmation. Account setup does not itself send mail or create events.
Privacy and control
Read the privacy policy for data access, AI processing, storage, retention, and disconnection details, and the terms of use for usage limitations.
